Mother, Child Killed and Three Others Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Route 52 in Fishkill
Fishkill, New York (March 26, 2018) – A mother and her child died while three other people were hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle while walking on a road in Fishkill on Sunday night.
According to the State Police, the incident happened at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday, March 25 on Route 52 near Old Glenham Road.
Police said a group of people were walking on State Route 52 when they were hit by a vehicle.
A woman and her child sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Three other people were transported to Westchester Medical Center with unknown injuries.
No details were provided on the victims’ identities pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
