One Person Killed in Rockingham County Crash at N.C. 87 and Barnes Street

1 Dead in Three-Vehicle Collision at N.C. 87 and Barnes Street in Rockingham County
Reidsville, North Carolina (April 20, 2018) – One person was killed in a three-car crash in Rockingham County Monday morning, the trooper said.
The collision occurred at around 8:11 a.m. Monday, April 16 at N.C. 87 and Barnes Street near Reidsville.
Trooper said a box truck driven by Bryon Hyde, 22, of Thomasville, struck a minivan on the driver’s side and then crashed into a rental car.
The driver of the minivan was transported to Annie Penn Hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries.
The driver of the rental car was not injured in the crash.
Hyde was cited for failure to stop at a red light and misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
