1 Dead in 2-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 85 near Highway 101 Off-Ramp in Greer
Greer, South Carolina (April 21, 2018) – A person was killed in an accident Thursday night in Greer, troopers said.
The collision occurred at about 10:15 p.m. Thursday, April 19 on Interstate 85 near the Highway 101 off-ramp on the northbound side of the interstate.
Troopers said a tractor-trailer was stopped in traffic when a Hyundai sedan rear-ended the trailer.
The driver of the Hyundai was extricated from the vehicle and was transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. The name of the victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
The truck driver was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
