One Killed and Five Hospitalized in Orangeburg County Crash on Fredcon Road near Eutawville

1 Killed, 5 Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision on Fredcon Road near Eutawville in Orangeburg County
Orangeburg County, South Carolina (March 27, 2018) – One person were killed, and five other people were injured Sunday morning in a two-car crash in Orangeburg County, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The accident happened shortly after midnight, March 25 on Fredcon Road, just outside of Eutawville
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2012 Chevrolet pickup and a 2007 Chevy pickup were both heading northbound on Fredcon Road when, for unknown reasons, the two trucks collided.
The two occupants of the 2012 Chevrolet pickup were transported to an area hospital. The driver of the 2007 Chevy pickup and the two passengers were also taken to a local hospital.
The other occupant of the 2007 Chevy pickup was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the person who died was not released pending notification of next of kin.
No further information regarding the condition of the other people hospitalized following the crash is available at this time.
The crash remains under investigation.
