Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on South Cedar Creek Road in Richland County

Richland County, South Carolina (March 31, 2018) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday night in Richland County, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The fatal crash occurred at around 11:40 p.m. Thursday, March 29 on South Cedar Creek Road near St. Road.

According to troopers, Christa Hudson, 20, of Gadsden, was struck by a vehicle, believed to be a burgundy 1992 to 2002 Chevrolet or GMC 1500 Series pickup, when she was walking along the roadway.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

Hudson died at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
