Two Killed in Iredell County Crash on Interstate 40
2 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-40 in Iredell County
Iredell County, North Carolina (March 31, 2018) – Two people were killed in a deadly Saturday morning crash involving a tractor-trailer and two other vehicles in Iredell County, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Interstate 40 near Mile er 142.
Troopers said a tractor-trailer overturned on the interstate and was hit by a car. Shortly after, a motorcyclist crashed into the vehicles.
According to officials, the driver of the tractor-trailer and the motorcycle rider were pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no reports of other injures.
Troopers did not release the identities of the deceased victims.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
