Crash occurred in Yuma on January 3, 2016
Larry Ferunik died early Sunday morning in a traffic accident while visiting Yuma for the winter. California Highway Patrol officers stated that he had been traveling at approximately 35-40 MPH when he lost control of his vehicle at 10:40 AM.
He was attempting to negotiate a left curve when drove wide towards a ditch and was struck by a trailer being hauled by a pickup truck. Passing motorists and the driver of the truck tried to help by moving the wreckage and medical personnel attempted to revive him but Mr. Ferunik died at the scene.
