Two Pacific Residents Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 44 in St. Clair

St. Clair, Missouri (April 7, 2018) – Two Pacific residents were killed in a two-car collision Thursday afternoon in St. Clair, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

The collision occurred at around 3:26 p.m. Thursday, April 5 on Interstate 44.

MSHP said Kristine Bergmann, 35, was operating a Ford Ranger westbound on Interstate 44 when she went off the side of the road and hit a towed Volvo Conventional that was parked on the shoulder of the highway.

Bergmann and Justin Giddens, 30, who was a passenger in the Ford Ranger were pronounced dead at the site of the incident.

All westbound lanes were shut down for several hours during the investigation.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
