Father, Son Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision at North and Marks Avenues in Fresno
Fresno, California (May 2, 2021) – A father and his 8-year-old son were killed in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Fresno on Saturday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of North and Marks Avenues.
A male truck driver allegedly failed to stop at a red light and crashed into a second vehicle. The truck burst into flames after the crash.
The police said there was a couple, an 8-year-old boy and siblings aged between 4 and 13 inside the car.
The father and his 8-year-old boy were ejected from the car and were pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the other occupants of the car was not established.
The truck driver and a 10-month-old baby who was inside the truck were unhurt.
The CHP suspected the truck driver was under the influence when the crash occurred.
