Man Dies After Hitting Parked Big Rig

A man was killed recently on the 405 Freeway near the Sherman Oaks area in California. The accident occurred on March 24th in the early morning hours. The incident occurred after a man traveling down the highway ran into a parked semi truck that was located on the side of the road. The cause of the accident is still unknown to authorities. Witnesses have not been able to provide a reason as the why the man suddenly swerved to the side of the road and hit the semi. After the accident, authorities were immediately called to the scene. After arriving, medical officials extracted the man from the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities described the vehicle’s condition as having been completely crushed by the collision with the unmoving big rig. Though the big rig was not in working condition, the impact with it was clearly enough to have completely destroyed the other vehicle involved in the accident. An alert was issued following the traffic accident and two lanes of traffic were closed. The lanes were then reopened following the removal of the totaled vehicle, the big rig, and the debris that the highway was littered with following the accident. Authorities did not provide the name of the victim of the accident before notifying the family of the deceased.
