BARSTOW, California (July 22, 2016) – At least one person sustained major injuries Friday morning following a collision between a semi-truck and a pickup truck on the southbound Interstate Freeway , according to a CHP report.
The crash occurred about 9 AM this morning. A blue Chevrolet pickup truck reportedly veered off the southbound lanes into the northbound lanes of the freeway and collided head-on with a big rig.
The driver of the pickup truck was trapped in the vehicle. At least one person was injured in the crash and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the crash to determine liability.
