Authorities ID’d Man Killed in Fontana Car Crash at Hemlock and Slover Avenues as 68-Year-Old Robert Pitt

Fontana, California (October 27, 2020) – 68-year-old Robert Pitt has been identified as the victim who died following a two-vehicle collision in Fontana Monday morning, according to a San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office report.

Officials responded to the fatal crash site at about 6:03 a.m., October 26, at the intersection of Hemlock Avenue and Slover Avenue.

As per the report, a vehicle heading northbound on Hemlock Avenue was struck by a semi-truck that was traveling westbound on Slover Avenue for reasons still under investigation.

Officials said Pitt was riding as a passenger in the unspecified vehicle at the time of the crash.

Sadly, Pitt died at 6:46 a.m. while undergoing treatment at Kaiser Foundation Hospital Emergency Department in Fontana.
